How we work

Diagnose first. Build what matters. Prove it works.

Narrow provides GTM and commercial advisory for technical founders moving through early-stage commercialisation.

Rather than beginning with a predetermined solution, every engagement starts by understanding what already exists, what is working, what is not, and where the real commercial friction sits.

The model

A simpler three-stage way of working.

The goal is not to throw more activity at the problem. It is to understand what is happening commercially, build the right pieces, and then make the model more repeatable.

Commercial complexity moving through structured stages towards repeatable growth
Understand the commercial reality, build the right response, then test it against live opportunities.

01

Focus

Start with a commercial diagnostic. Understand what exists today, what is working, where friction sits and what matters most.

  • Commercial diagnostic
  • Clear priority order
  • 90-day plan

02

Build

Implement the highest-priority changes from the diagnostic, rather than a generic package or pre-decided playbook.

  • Only what matters most
  • Diagnosis-led scope
  • Commercial foundations

03

Prove

Refine the model in the real world so the business gains confidence, evidence and more repeatable commercial behaviour.

  • Live opportunity support
  • Evidence and refinement
  • Repeatable progress

What comes out of Focus

Clarity before more activity.

Before spending more money, hiring more people or adding more activity, Narrow helps establish what should happen now, next and later.

Output

Commercial Diagnostic & 90-Day Priority Plan

Must

What materially needs addressing now.

Should

What will materially strengthen the model next.

Consider

What may be useful later, but is not the current priority.

Focus stands on its own. If Build is appropriate, the scope comes from the findings.

Frequently asked questions

Questions technical founders often ask before starting.

What does Focus involve?

Focus is a structured commercial diagnostic. It looks at the evidence behind how the business is currently going to market, converting opportunities and making commercial decisions, then identifies what matters most next.

Does Focus commit us to Build?

No. Focus is a standalone engagement. If the findings identify work Narrow is well placed to implement, a Build scope can be agreed afterwards. If not, the engagement ends with the diagnostic and 90-day plan.

What happens in Build?

Build turns the highest-priority findings into practical commercial capability. The scope is driven by the diagnostic, rather than a generic package.

What is Prove for?

Prove is where the commercial model is tested and refined against live opportunities, so the business gains evidence, confidence and repeatability.

Not sure what needs fixing?

That is the point of Focus.

Understand the commercial reality before spending more money, hiring more people or adding more activity.
